"NOW AND IN THE NEAR FUTURE…"



MY AIM IS NOW to pass over to a younger generation all this solid knowledge I had the chance to receive from my Masters, and to share all the professional experiences acquired during all these very active years of teaching and choreographing. - Although executing Grand Pliés and Splits at my age are not possible anymore, I still have an incredible amount of energy - therefore: I'LL ALWAYS BE HAPPY TO EXPLORE NEW WAYS OF INSTRUCTING THE ART OF DANCE, BY TEACHING AND CREATING FOR STUDENTS OF ANY AGE OR LEVEL - ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

Let's go back to the past for a moment:
Swiss TV just opened their Archives, and put online some Shows of the 70ties! I created over a 100 of Dance numbers at this time with the ModernJazzBallet-Co. (see MJB on this W'site). Blog is in French only. - The Prix-Italia-winning Ballet, CIRCUIT FERMÉ, conceived for television, is real document too - all the technical features would be so easy to realize nowadays…

24th of August:
Workshop for Dance Teachers: "HOW TO TEACH YOUNG CHILDREN?"
Considering that we often just run out of ideas of how to make our classes attractive to the very young /young/ children, or realizing that the old traditional way is just not adapting anymore to the now-adays needs, I invented a new kind of dance instruction, on a non-ballet-base. We use a lot of imaginary pictures guiding the Warm Up and Figures. Step by step, we learn the principles of turns, jumps; coordination; rhythm/musicality; the names of ballet steps and of other techniques; flexibility!, even acrobatic features - in order to prepare them to follow any kind of dance class later on - Ballet will look easy for them, as our experience showed us after all these years of teaching in Geneva.

WORKSHOP I and II: "HOW TO TEACH YOUNG CHILDREN"

We repeat the above mentionned course on Saturday, Nov. 16th 2013, and add the next age category of the 7-9 years old children on Sunday, November 17th 2013 / 13:00 - 17:00 p.m. Both Workshops are held in German and French.
